We did some painting a couple of weeks ago and today I finally got around to finishing mine.
Let me start with my husband's which I really love.
Then here are mine. Two of them are inspired by the poinsettia display that was at the Domes over the holidays. The last is a daisy, my favorite flower, in the shape of an R.
Before Christmas we took advantage of an incredible deal, 50% off gift cards at Paint Bar Delafield. So January 10, 2016 my husband and I took a class to paint the Serene Snowman. We were a little disappointed at the outcome but I'll let you judge them for yourselves.
This one has been in the works for a long time. I had initially planned to write bird related street names (Cardinal Way, Robin Road, etc.) on the sign like the similar post and birdhouse in my yard but I'm not sure I want that. So for now, I am considering this painting done. I can always change my mind later.
Here are two paintings I finished today. The birch tree one has been a work in progress for many weeks and was inspired by a photo in the July-August 2014 Minnesota Conservation Volunteer magazine.
The second was the view out my kitchen window yesterday morning.
Here is my husband's painting of the car logos from the cars we have owned. (As you can see, he expects to own many more cars in his lifetime as he has left a lot of space.)
I started working on these ornaments around Thanksgiving and am delaying posting them as some of them are Christmas gifts and I wanted people to be surprised.
